Schedule: 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM | 5x8s | 40 hrs Guaranteed

Weekend Call:

• 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM (Saturday & Sunday)
• 4–5 weekends during a 13-week assignment
• Holidays required if they fall during scheduled call week

Clinical Setting:

• Inpatient & Outpatient
• Average 7–11 scans per shift
• No CT or X-ray cross-coverage required if volume is low
• Radiologist coverage: On-site and remote reading
• Patient screening: MRI Technologist responsible
• Patient transport: Hospital transport team

Support Staff:

Sedation Cases: MRI Tech and Nurse

Most Common Studies:

• Neuro
• MSK
• Abdomen
• Breast
• MRA/MRV
• General MRI

Advanced Studies: Yes (Cardiac MRI not required)

• Contrast administration required
• Pediatric imaging required
• IV starts not required

Laboratory/Specialty Equipment Used: 

• Scanners: Philips 3T and 1.5T (5.7 software)
• PACS: Change Healthcare Radiology Solutions (McKesson)
• RIS: Epic (Experience with Epic is strongly preferred but not required.)
• Scanners Covered: 1

REQUIREMENTS/EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 2 years overall experience in discipline
• 2 full years of recent MRI experience required
• Prior travel experience highly preferred
• Bassett provides only one day of orientation, so clinicians must be able to get up to speed quickly.

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Required: ARRT (MR) and BLS

ARRT (R) only: Not accepted — must hold MRI certification

LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:

• NY does not require state license

Our Center is a 180-bed, acute care inpatient teaching facility in Cooperstown, New York. We offer 24-hour emergency and trauma care, comprehensive cancer and heart care, dialysis, and most medical and surgical specialties. The Clinic is located on the same campus as the medical center, and provides outpatient primary and specialty care.
