EMR: Epic - Experience with Epic is strongly preferred but not required. (workstations on wheels available for point-of-service documentation).

Schedule: 7am-3pm ; Day shift, Monday-Friday

• 30-minute unpaid lunch (per New York State labor law).
• 40 hours guaranteed
• Occasional scheduled Saturday coverage

Additional Details:

• Primarily outpatient physical therapy, with occasional inpatient coverage for acute care and swing bed (rehab) settings.

General Outpatient:

• Pre- or post-operative orthopedic conditions (e.g., joint replacements, rotator cuff injuries, acute orthopedic injuries).
• Chronic conditions (e.g., arthritis, chronic pain, balance issues).
• Neurological conditions (e.g., CVA, TBI, Parkinson’s Disease).
• Sports-related injuries.

Inpatient (Occasional):

• Acute care and swing bed rehabilitation cases.

Case Volume:

• 15 patient slots per 8-hour day (30 minutes each)
• 1-hr slots allotted for new patient evaluations.

Treatment Modalities:

• Ultrasound, electrical stimulation, Saunder’s mechanical traction, paraffin therapy.
• Equipment includes treadmills, stationary bikes, and upper body ergometers (UBE)

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Outpatient physical therapy experience is preferred

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• BLS

STATE LICENSE REQUIREMENTS

• New York State License
• Willing to send a strong candidate for consideration if they do not yet hold a NY license but are willing to apply by endorsement and can support a start date approximately 6 weeks out due to the urgent need.

ABOUT THE FACILITY

Our hospital is designated as a Critical Access Hospital and is licensed for 23 acute care medical/surgical beds, including extended-care “swing” beds for patients who require additional time and therapy to recover from illness or surgery.
