Additional Details about the position
- Clinical Leadership: Ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care according to professional standards and best practices. This involves developing and implementing evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes.
- Staff Management: Managing and supervising Behavioral Health staff and department which includes 2-3 counselors/clinicians
- Under the direct supervision of the Tribal Administrator the DBH will oversee the Social Services for Tribal, public, and voluntary organizations providing services in the Child Welfare, Foster Care and Adult Custodial Care fields to individual children, families, groups and community
- Cultural Sensitivity: Possessing an awareness and understanding of Native American cultures and healthcare needs is essential to providing culturally sensitive care.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Needs solid supervisory experience
- Needs solid Tribal experience
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Licensed professional as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Three to Five years work experience in a behavioral health setting.
- Experience or interest in depression, anxiety, abuse and PTSD.
- Experience with dual diagnosis issues with Native American clients and substance abuse assessments and treatment options.
