Additional Details about the position

• Patient Preparation: Verify patient identification, review medical history (previous mammograms, symptoms, breast changes), and inform them to avoid deodorant, powder, or lotion.
• Patient Education & Counseling: Explain the procedure step-by-step, including the purpose of compression, to alleviate anxiety.
• Positioning & Compression: Position the patient to maximize breast tissue inclusion on the detector. Apply appropriate compression to flatten tissue, reducing motion and radiation dose.
• Image Acquisition: Perform standard views—Craniocaudal (CC) and Mediolateral Oblique (MLO)—or specialized diagnostic views.
• Post-Procedure: Review images for technical quality (positioning, motion, contrast), ensure proper labeling, and clean/sanitize equipment between patients.
• Documentation: Log procedures, patient data, and equipment usage for, Food and Drug Administration (.gov) (MQSA) compliance.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• 2 year minimum relative experience
• MSQA Inspection experience required 

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS 

• BLS

LICENSURE REQUIREMENT 

•  Arizona ARRT Required

This facility is a 73-bed regional referral medical center in Tuba City, Arizona on the Navajo Reservation. Our service area is 6,000 square miles and covers the western region of the Navajo, Hopi, and San Juan Paiute Reservations.

In 2021, TCRHCC received over 250,000 patient visits a year at the main campus and at satellite facilities in Flagstaff, at Sacred Peaks Clinic; LeChee Health & Wellness Facility near Page, a clinic at Bodaway/Gap, Cameron, and the Kaibeto Creek Independent Living Center. A mobile health program also travels to remote corners of the service area.
