Schedule: 5x8 or 4x10; Call every third week (Nights/Weekends 7p to 7a)
EXPERIENCE:
· Performs diagnostic CT exams of the head, neck, chest, abdomen, pelvis, spine, and extremities. Places IVs for contrast injections. Follows protocols set by the radiologist. Receives patient, explains the procedure, and creates a safe environment for the patient through good communication skills.
· Radiography. Performs diagnostic x-ray examinations including spine, extremities, head chest, and abdomen. Follows standard positions and views prescribed by radiologists. Assists radiologists with fluoroscopic procedures. Performs bone density tests. Receives patients, explains procedures, and utilizes standardized techniques, settings, and positions to accomplish acceptable results.
· Office Duties. Performs office jobs in a small department including, but not limited to: answering phones, scheduling patients’ exams, printing reports, retrieving charts, researching problems, ordering supplies, and helping radiologists and providers.
· Responsible for QA and QC for NPVMC imaging modalities. Documents: patient exposure time to radiation, amount of contrast administered, exam performed, and other information as required by the Joint Commission regulations.
