Pay Rate: $70.00 - $75.00 per hour

Schedule: 2- 8 days per month, 8 hour shifts

Additional Details about the position

  • 7-15 ppd depending on volume in facility
  • Evaluate and administer diagnostic tests, provide individualized treatment to patients for a variety of communication disorders, voice and swallowing impairment.
  • Able to develop, implement and adapt a treatment program that improves and restores cognitive skills, language comprehension, language expression and swallowing ability and function through ongoing comprehensive assessment and testing.
  • Attends Skilled Nursing/Swing-bed staff meetings, case conferences and in-service presentations as indicated
  • Records and reports to the physician about the patient’s reaction to treatment and/or any changes in the patient’s condition.
  • Able to educate effectively, both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely and effectively with patients, families, supervisors, medical providers.


EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Compliant with state regulatory requirements.
  • Preferred Experience: Two (2) years of clinical practice as a Speech Language Pathologist
  • Graduate of a Speech Language Pathology curriculum with either a Masters or Doctorate degree accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA).


CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • BLS (AHA)
  • Certified Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (CCCSLP-ASHA)
  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)


LICENSURE REQUIREMENT

  • CA (SLP)
