Pay: Clinical Pharmacist I pay grade range is $57.66 - $86.48 hourly ($119,925 - $179,888 salary annualized) depending on years of experience as a Pharmacist.

Travel: Client covers all expenses, lodging, flights(rental car is not needed as clinic is walking distance from lodging)

Length: 13 Weeks w/ chance to extend

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm

Additional Information:

  • Routine Clinical Duties are performed on a regular basis and involve risk to patient’s life, safety, health or well-being. Examples include but not limited to:
  • Conduct medical staff authorized outpatient pharmacy clinics for examination, screening, and treatment of specialized patients. Obtains appropriate health history, follows and adjusts the developed treatment plan, and monitors the patient’s outcome to the prescribed treatment plan.
  • Obtains the appropriate history and performs limited physical assessment related to the specialized pharmacy clinics. Discriminates between normal and abnormal findings to recognize early stages of serious physical, emotional, or mental challenges.
  • Document all clinical activities, update medication allergy information, and recommend update to problem lists in the medical record.
  • Provide formal and informal education and in-services to pharmacy, medical, nursing, and dental staffs as requested. Provide training for pharmacy residents, pharmacy students, and medical students.
  • Prepare formal lectures for professional in-house student training as requested. Provide education to patients and their families about medications, common disease states, and information on health promotion.




Requirements/Certifications:

  • Graduate from an ACPE approved college or university pharmacy program. Must have completed one of the following:
  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree, which includes professional knowledge of the theories, principles, practices and techniques of clinical and basic pharmacy to provide direct clinical-pharmaceutical patient services.
  • A Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy which includes professional knowledge of the theories, principles, practices and techniques of clinical and basic pharmacy to provide direct clinical-pharmaceutical patient services. Minimum two (2) years pharmacy experience required



EXPERIENCE

  • Specialty board certification or completion of an ASHP or APHA hospital or ambulatory pharmacy residency or National Certification in one (1) chronic disease states is preferred, or ability to obtain within two (2) years of hire date.



LICENSE REQUIREMENTS

  • Any State License

We provide acute and chronic medical, dental, pharmacy, optometry, and behavioral health services—offering specialized women’s health and pediatrics care. In addition, we offer essential preventive services such as cancer screening, TB screening, diabetes screening, prenatal care, and health education. Since assuming the health care services, the Clinic has seen many positive changes, including patient visit increase, construction of a new freestanding, ambulatory health facility (April 2000), a new behavioral health facility (July 2018) increased funding through grant resources and expanded services, including a diabetes program, optometry, and lab services.
