Additional Details about the position

• Pre-procedure Prep: Review patient charts, verify consent and imaging, check lab values (coagulation), instruct on NPO status, and start IV lines.
• Room Setup: Prepare the sterile field, ensuring all required catheters, guidewires, stents, needles, and drainage systems are available.
• Patient Positioning: Position the patient on the imaging table and apply monitoring equipment (EKG, blood pressure, pulse oximetry).
• Imaging & Guidance: Operate fluoroscopy equipment (C-arm) to provide continuous visualization for catheter navigation.
• Procedural Assistance: Assist in vascular access (arterial/venous), inject contrast, and manage equipment under sterile technique.
• Post-Procedure: Remove catheters/sheaths, apply pressure to ensure hemostasis, and transfer the patient to recovery.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Sterile/scrub technique
• Siemens machine experience
• EPIC charting
• Circulation for procedures
• 1-2 IR years Experience 

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS 

• BLS
• ARRT or RCIS required
