Pay Rate: $4,600 to $4,800 Gross Per Week

Travel: In housing lodging(2 bed apartment available for travelers) covers all expenses

Schedule: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm; 5 days a week

CERTIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS

• Obtain an O.D. degree and a license to practice optometry.
• Complete an accredited residency in medical optometry.
• Pass the national Advanced Competence in Medical Optometry (ACMO) examination.
• One year completion of a residency program in an institution accredited for such training OR One year of professional experience as an optometrist that is equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level.
• Experience in hospital-based optometry includes the diagnosis and management of ammetropias, ocular infections, ocular inflammatory and autoimmune conditions, dry eye conditions, glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, ocular trauma and binocular dysfunctions; and operating optometric diagnostic and treatment instruments and equipment.

They offer general medical, dental, behavioral health, substance use disorder counseling medical lab, pharmacy, medical records, tribal health contact, and a fitness center. All childhood and yearly flu vaccinations, health education, nutritional, and emergency services.
