Additional Details about the position
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide therapeutic interventions to improve activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs)
- Implement strategies to enhance fine motor skills, coordination, cognition, and sensory processing
- Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques, equipment, and home exercise programs
- Recommend and train patients in the use of adaptive equipment and assistive devices
- Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, speech therapists, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams
- Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with facility and state guidelines
- Maintain patient safety and adhere to infection control and regulatory standards
- Adapt quickly to different clinical settings and EMR systems
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Experience in pediatrics is a plus
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program (OTD or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy)
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- BLS
- CPR
- NBCOT certification
LICENSURE REQUIREMENT
- ND
- Current, active Occupational Therapist license in the state of North Dakota (or ability to obtain)
