• Provide assistance and support to clients in a therapeutic environment
• Supervises and accounts for patients; provides care as directed by medical and nursing providers; observes, reports, and documents information concerning patient’s physical, emotional, and behavior status
• Recognizes and appropriately responds using therapeutic communication and de-escalations techniques with patients

REQUIREMENTS

• Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing.
• Preferred experience providing care to individuals with developmental, behavioral, or psychiatric disorders.
• Local to Montana
• Experience with ID patients, Adult Psych, or Autism Spectrumpatients

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• CPI
• BLS

STATE LICENSE REQUIREMENTS

• Currently licensed as a Practical Nurse in the State of Montana.

ABOUT THE FACILITY

Provides inpatient psychiatric treatment for adults with serious mental illness. Services provided include: evaluation and assessment, medication management, individual and group therapy, psycho-educational programs, rehabilitation and vocational services, chemical dependency treatment, and peer support. Montana State Hospital is the only public psychiatric hospital in Montana and serves people admitted from communities across the state.
