Schedule: 7 PM – 7AM | 40 hrs Guaranteed | No on-call required

Clinical Setting:

Average Scans Per Day: 8-10 per tech

Staffing Per Shift: 2 techs in the evening ; 1 tech overnight

Patient Volume: Varies based on the day and ER activity ; typically slower overnight

Additional Modalities: None noted beyond CT and X-ray

Scan Types: Emergency, trauma, and neuro studies. 

Patient Mix: Primarily outpatient, some ER cases, very few inpatient

Contrast Studies: Yes – contrast exams are performed; techs are responsible for initiating and monitoring as applicable. 

Laboratory/Specialty Equipment Used: 

• GE Revolution Max CT scanner and GE X-ray

REQUIREMENTS/EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 2 years overall experience in discipline
• Must be able to work independently
• Prior travel experience highly preferred
• Bassett provides only one day of orientation, so clinicians must be able to get up to speed quickly.

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• ARRT
• BLS

LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:

• NY (NY State radiology licensure typically has a 2–4 week processing turnaround for out-of-state candidates)

Our Center is a 180-bed, acute care inpatient teaching facility in Cooperstown, New York. We offer 24-hour emergency and trauma care, comprehensive cancer and heart care, dialysis, and most medical and surgical specialties. The Clinic is located on the same campus as the medical center, and provides outpatient primary and specialty care.
