Additional Details about the position
- Accurately evaluate, verify, and report laboratory results
- Troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation and resolve technical issues
- Prioritize workload efficiently in a high-volume environment
- Maintain quality control and compliance with laboratory standards
- Collaborate with laboratory staff and other healthcare professionals to support patient care
- Participate in training for rapid molecular testing as needed

- Chemistry
- Hematology
- Urinalysis
- Coagulation
Position Overview:
Chemistry Volume:
- Up to or exceeding 1,000 samples per day Monday through Friday
- Lower volumes on weekends
Hematology & Urinalysis Volume:
- Approximately 500 samples per day
- This is a fast-paced, high-volume laboratory environment requiring strong organizational skills, efficiency, and confidence working independently.
Independent Work Expectations:
- Evening shift technologists work independently for the majority of their shifts.
Candidates should be comfortable:
- Prioritizing workload independently
- Troubleshooting instrumentation
- Managing workflow in a high-volume environment
- Seeking support appropriately when needed
- The laboratory team maintains a collaborative culture and is available to support one another when necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Microbiology experience
- Previous experience in a high-volume laboratory setting
- Minimum 4 years of Clinical Laboratory Technologist experience preferred
Not Required:
- Blood Bank experience
- Phlebotomy experience
Licensure Requirement: NY License
ABOUT THE FACILITY
Our Hospital is designated as a Critical Access Hospital licensed for 23 acute care medical/surgical beds, including extended care "swing" beds for patients needing additional time and therapy in order to recover from illness or surgery.
