• Work together with the dentist to meet the oral health needs of the patient. Provide a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment. Handles a variety of clinical duties for dental office operations. These duties range in complexity and skill, and all aspects of the job require an exceptional level of customer service skills and a strong commitment to working well with patients, doctors, dental assistants, and other dental office team members
• This job operates in a medical/clinical environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, x-rays, and phones. 
• This job operates in a well-lighted, sterile environment. Employees must wear gloves, masks, protective eye wear, and clothing to protect themselves and their patients from infectious disease

Essential Functions: 

• GBT Guided Biofilm Therapy equipment operation may be required. 
• Provide oral hygiene dental treatment and oral hygiene care and education in accordance with guidelines approved, issued, and regulated by the state in which they work. 
• Apply fluoride and protective sealants. Removal of calculus, stain and plaque from above and below the gum line. 
• Provide nutritional counseling and self-care programs to prevent disease. 
• Record and review patient medical histories. 
• Uphold office policy including HIPAA & OSHA. 
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. 
• Order and keep track of inventory as needed. 
• Other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• One year of hands on experience as a hygienist.  
• GBT Guided Biofilm Therapy equipment operation experience. 
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS 

• CPR certification. 
• X-ray training or certification

LICENSURE REQUIREMENT 

• Hold a current state-issued Dental Hygiene license.
