Additional Details about the position

• Triage and Assessment · Rapidly evaluate incoming patients to prioritize care based on illness or injury severity.
• Patient Stabilization · Immediately stabilize incoming patients. Provide direct patient care as needed. Administer critical care interventions, including CPR, advanced airway management, IV placement, and blood product administration.
• Treatment and Monitoring · Administer medication as instructed by physician. Perform wound care, start intravenous lines, provide suturing support, run EKGs, and closely monitor vital signs.
• Collaboration and Documentation · Work directly with emergency physicians and staff to help patients, accurately logging notes into electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Patient Communication · Inform and comfort patients and families under high-stress circumstances, providing discharge or transfer details.

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS 

• Essential life support certifications
• Active California License
