Additional Details about the position

• Performs radiographic examinations while adhering to radiology protocols
• Evaluates orders for appropriate medical history, researches orders for clarity while working with the provider
• Positions un’ina on exam table, move radiology equipment into position, adjust controls to set exposure factors, such as time and distance, to obtain optimum view of specific body area requested by medical provider
• Uses a beam-restrictive device to achieve collimation and ALARA principles to reduce exposure time, increase distance from the source, and shielding to minimize radiation exposure to un’ina and staff
• Explains radiologic procedures and safety protocols to un’ina to reduce anxiety and encourage cooperation
• Sends completed radiological images to Sectra for review by radiologist

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• One (1) years’ experience performing x-ray images or obtained in clinical rotations through required education

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS 

• BLS
• AART
• ARRT
• ASRT

LICENSURE REQUIREMENT 

• AK
