Pay Rate: $2,200.00 - $2,400.00 gross per week

Travel: client has onsite housing, will pay for a round trip flight, has on site company cars for contractors to use for 2 hrs at a time.

Schedule: 3x12s (7pm-7am) ; Night Shift only ; opportunities for OT and call

EMR: Cerner

Additional Details:

• They do NOT have respiratory therapy. So, they have to be comfortable with respiratory intervention
• No pharmacy overnight so have to be comfortable mixing their own drips
• 8 patients (ratio is 2:1)

RNs work ER/IP and NO ONE does just IP or ER

• 5 beds in the ED
• 10 beds for IP
• Very separate depts and separate locations
• 2 RNs are staffed in the ER
• RNs on avg 1 shift ER and 2 shifts IP per wk
• Pediatrics to Geriatrics

EXPERIENCE:

• Strong experience in ER, previously worked in AK before is a plus, previous IHS exp is a plus, critical access hospital is a plus

CERTIFICATION / REQUIREMENTS

• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS
• TNCC and PNCC is preferred for the Emergency Dept

STATE LICENSE REQUIREMENTS

• AK RN license

ABOUT THE FACILITY

This facility includes 21 village clinics that are accredited by Joint Commission and are staffed by Community Health aides. Our Community Health Aide Program (CHAP) plays a very important role in village health services. Our health aides can provide Preventative, Acute, Chronic, and Emergency care within their scope of practice using the Community Health Aide Manual (CHAM) and reporting to a referral Physician at the Kanakanak hospital. They work closely with our case management and assist many other departments that include, but not limited to: Optometry, Audiology, Diabetes, Medical Staff, Dental, and Infant learning to ensure our patients are getting the appropriate and essential care that they need.
