Ouzinkie

  • Coverage Dates: February 14-Aug 25
  • Coverage Dates: September 16-Oct 13
  • Coverage Dates: November 2-Nov 24
  • Coverage Dates: December 15-open ended



Travel: Staff stay on-site in clinic quarters during village assignments, as there are no hotels in the villages. The clinic quarters provide basic, comfortable accommodations within or adjacent to the clinic. The agency books the travel from the staff member’s home location to Kodiak, including:

  • Airfare
  • Car rental
  • Lodging while in Kodiak
  • KANA arranges and covers flights between Kodiak and the assigned village, as well as return travel to Kodiak after the assignment.


Length: Dates are sporadic throughout the year; additional openings may occur.


Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm w/1 hour lunch


Call: Will be on call after hours


Additional Details

  • General family practice and triage
  • Occasional urgent care visits
  • Assist physician with medevac coordination
  • Average patient volume is 0-10 patients per day
  • Hospital they transfer to is the Providence Kodiak Island Medical Center


EMR: Cerner


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work independently and autonomously
  • Ability to take direction when needed
  • At least 2 years of Clinic RN experience


CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • BLS


LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:

AK license

  • Facility can wait for license for 2026 assignments
