Schedule: 7:00 am - 3:00 pm

Call:  Sonographers participate in a rotating call schedule, which includes:

• 1 weekday evening on-call every other week
• 1 weekend on-call approximately every fifth week
• The call schedule is shared among a team of five technicians to ensure 24/7 coverage. 
• Sonographers may occasionally be required to provide services at additional Bassett locations, including hospital sites, outpatient clinics, and outreach centers.

Additional Details about the position

• Operates within an IAC-accredited Non-Invasive Vascular Lab, requiring sonographers with advanced knowledge and proficiency in a range of diagnostic vascular studies.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Demonstrate high levels of competency, proficiency, and frequency across the full range of vascular and general ultrasound studies.
• Profiles should include competency scores and detailed experience for each study type to assist in assessing alignment with department standards
•  The clinician must have at least 2 years of experience in their discipline (RN, CST, CT Tech, ARDMS etc.) as well as 2 full years of recent experience in the specialty they are being submitted for (Med/Tele, OR, Dialysis etc.)
• Prior travel experience is not required, but highly preferred. 

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS 

• BLS
• ARDMS - While certification as an RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) is preferred due to vascular expectations, all sonographers are expected to be well-versed in the requirements of an IAC-accredited vascular lab

Our Hospital is designated as a Critical Access Hospital licensed for 23 acute care medical/surgical beds, including extended care "swing" beds for patients needing additional time and therapy in order to recover from illness or surgery.
