This is a float pathology position - they will be floating between 3 hospitals all within 5 minutes of each other. 

Assignment Length: 13 weeks

EMR: LIS – Sunquest

Schedule: 40 hours guaranteed

M-F 10a-7p

Additional Details:

• Perform gross examination and dissection of surgical pathology specimens.
• Provide dictation of concise and accurate gross description, including all relevant measurements and orientation information, gross details of the lesion(s), associated findings, staging elements, and cassette key
• Assist pathologist with Intraoperative Procedures - preparation and staining of frozen section slides of suitable quality in a timely fashion; preparation and staining of air-dried and methanol fixed touch preps and/or smears of suitable quality.
• Assist with Cytology FNA smear preparation or needle biopsy.

REQUIREMENTS

• 3-5 year experience preferred

no new grad, at least 1 year experience

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• ASCP

LICENSURE REQUIREMENT

• Any state license
