Schedule: Night Shift / 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM / 4x12 Hour Shifts / 48 Hours a Week

Call: Possible, based on unit needs

• Call paid in addition to salary listed

Responsibilities Include:

• Assesses/reassesses young adult, adult, and elderly patients and applies the nursing process to:
• Demonstrates basic competency in specialized procedures/equipment
• Pre and Post-Operative Care, i.e., general, bariatric, orthopedic, trauma, neurosurgical, genitourinary, etc.
• Pain Management
• Chest Tube Care/Insertion
• PEG, G-tube, J-tube care
• Traction
• Percutaneous, Sump, Jackson Pratt, or Hemovac drainage care
• Medication Administration
• NIH Stroke Scale
• KODA
• Access Central Lines
• Specialized IV Drips and Titration
• IV Therapy
• IVADD
• Waive Testing
• Transfusion Therapy
• Information Management

REQUIREMENTS

• Two (2) Years Orthopedic surgery Experience Required
• EKG Experience Required

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• NIHSS

STATE LICENSE REQUIREMENTS

• New York
