Schedule:

• 4x10s (7:00am–5:30pm)

On-Call Requirements:

• Weekly call: 1 night/week (5:30pm–7:00am)
• Weekend call: Every 4th or 5th weekend (5:30pm Friday – 7:00am Monday)

Additional Details:

• Assist with patient evaluation, preparation, and post-procedure care for cardiac catheterization, interventional, and EP procedures
• Prepare, operate, and maintain all CVI/cath lab equipment
• Monitor and document patient data using physiologic recording systems
• Monitor, record, and interpret intracardiac pressures and ECG signals; promptly report abnormalities
• Ensure compliance with departmental policies, procedures, and safety standards
• Maintain a sterile field and set up sterile tables for procedures
• Perform fluoroscopy while following ALARA radiation safety standards and regulatory guidelines
• Communicate, document, and distribute test results and patient charges per protocol
• Maintain cath lab readiness, including appropriate staffing and workflow support

Laboratory/Specialty Equipment Used: 

Imaging and Monitoring: Philips x-ray equipment, Xper monitoring system

REQUIREMENTS/EXPERIENCE:

• Prior Cath Lab experience is essential to meet the demands of this role.
• Preferred: Experience with Cath, TAVR, LAAO is encouraged; EP/pacemakers, ablations, vascular, and IR experience are also highly preferred.

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• BLS (required for onboarding but not submission)
• CCI (required for onboarding but not submission)

LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:

• does NOT require a state license

Our Center is a 180-bed, acute care inpatient teaching facility in Cooperstown, New York. We offer 24-hour emergency and trauma care, comprehensive cancer and heart care, dialysis, and most medical and surgical specialties. The Clinic is located on the same campus as the medical center, and provides outpatient primary and specialty care.
