Pay Rate: $2,400.00 - $2,600.00 gross per week

Number of Positions: 2

Start Date: Ideal candidate can start as early as June 17, 2024. Will take candidates who can start before or after this date.

Assignment Length: 13 weeks

Schedule: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm or 4x10's available

Additional Details:

  • 8-10 ppd in Hospital, outpatient or skilled nursing setting
  •  Administers physical agents prescribed by a referring physician 
  • Maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities and assures competency of all personnel.
  • Develops and implements system of reviewing department charges, and ensures that patient charges are accurate and entered on a timely basis.
  • Maintains efficient and effective department operations while requiring compliance with all state, federal, and local regulatory laws, standards, and protocols. 
  • Ability to observe and evaluate treatment effect, and recommend a change to the physician if needed.
  • Ability to perform an appropriate assessment of all patients as related to the therapy requested and provided and reassessments as per policy. This includes neonate, pediatric, adolescent, geriatric patients, and the general patient population. 
  • Able to assess patient pain interfering with the optimal level of function or participation in rehabilitation and make appropriate physician contact for intervention. 
  • Comfortable working in Skilled Nursing, Outpatient or Hospital Setting

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Three (3) or more years of previous experience in physical therapy preferred 
  • Current California licensure or certification as a physical therapist.
  • Knowledge of physical therapy modalities, anatomy, and physiology.
  • Knowledge of disease processes and related causative factors.
  • Knowledge of benefits/ values of rehabilitative medicine and physical therapy agents.
  • Knowledge of infection control, sterile techniques, and related impact on rehabilitative medicine practice and equipment.

ABOUT THE FACILITY

The facility is currently an 8-bed, critical access hospital providing emergency services, family practice medicine, retail pharmacy, and operating a 50-bed skilled nursing facility in addition to other ancillary services such as radiology, laboratory, physical therapy, and day surgery services.
