Schedule: Schedules will be coordinated with each Service Unit Laboratory Supervisor. Hospitals

require 24/7 coverage. Holidays and weekends included. Outpatient clinics require

coverage Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., excluding federal holidays.

Additional Details about the position

• Perform, update and/or review Quality Control, Calibrations, and Maintenance.
• Prepare patients and collect blood specimens utilizing arterial puncture, venipuncture or capillary methods.
• Prepare patients for collection of other specimen types such as urine and stool.
• Process and analyze clinical laboratory specimens using various diagnostic laboratory equipment such as analyzers, microscopes, and centrifuges.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Familiar with IHS systems such as RPMS, or VistA.
• 5-7 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting
• Phlebotomy is required

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

•  Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Certification as a Medical Technologist or Clinical Lab Scientist by a recognized certifying body (e.g. ASCP, AMT)

LICENSURE REQUIREMENT

• Any State License
