Additional Details:

• Contributes to the quality of patient care under the supervision of the registered nurse.
• Initiates, monitors, and terminates dialysis treatment per unit policy and reports any problems or complications to RN. Accurately collects, documents, and reports data (i.e. vital signs, weights) appropriately in the medical record.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Required current dialysis technician training certificate.
• Permanent staff members accepted into the dialysis technician position must obtain approved Hemodialysis Technician Certification within 18 months from their date of hire

CERTIFCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Professional
• BLS
