36 hours guaranteed

Common Disorders: OSA, CSA, Mixed Complex Apnea, Narcolepsy, some Cardiac and Seizure cases

 Primary Sleep Studies Conducted:

• PSG (Polysomnography)
• PSG with titration
• MSLT (Multiple Sleep Latency Test)
• MWT (Maintenance of Wakefulness Test)
• Inspire titration (training provided, new service)
• Scoring
• PSG with seizure montage

Additional Details:

• Patient Population: Adults (13+)
• Unit Size & Patient Volume: 4 beds (Cobleskill & Fox combined)
• Patient Ratio: 2:1

Laboratory/Specialty Equipment Used: Scoring & Reporting Software: Cadwell

REQUIREMENTS:

• Sleep Tech must score studies in real-time while performing them, requiring strong multitasking

skills.

•  This role involves working independently with minimal supervision.

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• RPSGT or RRT with SDS

LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:

• Must hold an authorization certificate (license) from the New York State Education Department to practice as a sleep technologist in New York. Requirements include graduating from an approved, usually associate-level, program, passing the RPSGT exam, and obtaining authorization.

Our Center is a 180-bed, acute care inpatient teaching facility in Cooperstown, New York. We offer 24-hour emergency and trauma care, comprehensive cancer and heart care, dialysis, and most medical and surgical specialties. The Clinic is located on the same campus as the medical center, and provides outpatient primary and specialty care.
